Okla Chahta Clan of California, Inc. serves as a resource to build a strong Choctaw cultural foundation, supported by promoting health and education in California.
Vision
Like a dispersed ceremonial fire, our culture has become kicked and scattered coals. Choctaw history and heritage like dance, language, and ceremonies are dissolved and broken, laying about. OCCC’s vision is to gather these coals, blowing on them, rekindling the flame to ignite our spirit, strengthen our health, allowing our culture and traditions to live on through the education of our people. Most importantly, to bring our culture back to a strong glowing fire of life, nurturing our Choctaw family and those around us.
